Privacy Policy

This policy describes what foomchat (operated by Scry Labs LLC — "we", "us") collects, why, and what happens to it. We have tried to keep it accurate to how the product actually works.

1. WHAT WE COLLECT

• Account information from your sign-in provider via Auth0: email address, name, profile picture, and an account identifier. We also store the username you choose.
• Conversations: your messages and the AI's replies are stored so you can return to them.
• Features you create: their code, titles, descriptions, and version history. If you publish a feature, it and your username are visible to everyone.
• Billing state: credit balances, subscription tier and status, and Stripe customer and subscription identifiers. Payments are processed by Stripe — we never see or store your card number.
• Your OpenRouter API key, if you add one. It is stored in our database so we can route your chats through it; treat this as sensitive and remove it any time from the Account page.
• Waitlist email, if you signed up before launch.
• Server logs (IP address, browser user agent, request metadata), kept for security and operations.

2. HOW WE USE IT

• To run the service: your messages (with your conversation context) are sent to AI model providers — OpenRouter and the model vendors behind it — to generate replies. Their processing is governed by their own policies.
• To meter credits, process payments, and prevent abuse (including the one-grant-per-person starter credit rule).
• To send transactional email only: verification and password-reset messages via Auth0. No marketing email without separate consent.
• We run no advertising, no third-party analytics, and no tracking scripts, and we do not sell personal information.
• We do not use your conversations to train AI models.

3. WHO IT IS SHARED WITH

Only processors needed to run the service:

• Auth0 (sign-in), Stripe (payments), OpenRouter and its underlying model providers (message content, to generate replies), and our hosting provider (infrastructure).
• Authorities, when the law requires it.

4. HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

• Conversations are kept until you delete them or your account. There is no automatic expiry.
• Account and billing records are kept while your account exists, and as required for tax and accounting afterward.
• Server logs are kept for a limited operational window.

5. YOUR CONTROLS

• Delete any conversation from the sidebar, any time.
• Edit, unpublish, or delete your features from the app.
• Remove your API key from the Account page.
• For full account deletion or a copy of your data, email us (below) from your account's email address — we will act on it within 30 days.

6. COOKIES

One essential cookie: the session that keeps you signed in. No advertising or tracking cookies.

7. SECURITY

Traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access to production systems is limited. No system is perfectly secure — if you believe you have found a vulnerability, please email us.

8. CHILDREN

foomchat is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If we learn we have, we will delete it.

9. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS

Depending on where you live (including under the California CCPA and the EU/UK GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to non-discrimination for exercising them. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of selling. To exercise any right, contact us below.

10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

• We may update this policy; the date above reflects the latest revision
• We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes
